Starting from April 5, 2025 (Saturday), at 11:30 PM every Saturday, the highly-anticipated new anime release of the dark fantasy series "Black Butler," titled "Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc," will be available for simultaneous terrestrial broadcast and exclusive early streaming on ABEMA.

"Black Butler" is an anime series based on the manga of the same name by Yana Toboso, currently being serialized in "Monthly G Fantasy" published by Square Enix. The story is set in 19th century England and depicts the adventures of Sebastian Michaelis, the butler of the renowned noble Phantomhive family, who takes on the dirty work of the underworld as the "Queen's Watchdog," and his 13-year-old master, Ciel Phantomhive.

The intricately crafted world and diverse characters of this series have captivated fans worldwide, with the original work achieving a cumulative total of 36 million copies sold globally. Since its anime adaptation in 2008, the TV anime has been broadcast over four seasons, in addition to OVA and film adaptations, making it a massive hit. In the upcoming TV anime fifth season, "Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc," set to start airing in April 2025, the story will follow Ciel and Sebastian as they delve into the mysteries of the "Forest of Werewolves," a place said to curse and kill anyone who steps foot in it.

Now, it has been announced that "Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc" will be simulcast and exclusively pre-streamed on ABEMA. Starting from Saturday, April 5, 2025, the latest episodes will be broadcast for free simultaneously with terrestrial TV every Saturday night at 11:30 PM on the "ABEMA Anime Channel," alongside the start of exclusive pre-streaming. Furthermore, for one week following the broadcast, the latest episodes will be available for free viewing. Additionally, the entire "Black Butler" series, from the TV anime to OVAs and films, is currently being streamed on ABEMA.
